Privacy Policy

DirectFeedback ("we", "us") provides review and feedback tools for businesses. This policy explains how we collect, use and protect personal information, consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Account holders: name, email address, business details, and billing information processed by our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Customers of our account holders: when you submit feedback through a DirectFeedback review page, we collect the rating and message you provide, and any contact details you choose to include. This information is shared with the business you submitted it to. Providing contact details is optional.

Usage data: we record page visits on review pages (such as scan counts and rating selections) in aggregate form to provide analytics to the business. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

How we use it

We use personal information to operate the service: delivering feedback to the right business, sending notification and review request messages the business asks us to send, providing analytics, processing subscriptions, and providing support. Review request messages include the ability to opt out.

Storage and security

Data is stored with reputable cloud providers using encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to what is needed to run the service. If a data breach is likely to result in serious harm, we will notify affected people and the OAIC as required by the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme.

Access, correction and deletion

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information by emailing hello@directfeedback.com.au. If your feedback was submitted to a specific business, we may direct your request to that business, since they control that information.

Complaints

If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we will respond within 30 days. You can also complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au).
